Music Magic Mixer Premium Review

With all the music out there today and with all the different types and genres, you need something to keep the files straight on your PC. The program for this is called Music Magic Mixer by Predixis. It will search your music collection and then without lifting a finger it makes list of the genres, artists, and albums for you.

Getting Started

Today we are looking at a program called Music Magic Mixer Premium which is made by Predixis. The first look at this program and you can tell it does not look like a media player. It does not play any music but will get you ready to play your music and have the best dance party on the block. After you get the software installed you will see that it will ask where your music is and then search your hard drive and read the MP3, WMA, or WAV files you have and find the name of the song and artist. I recommend if you have a lot of music to let it search your hard drive at night because it seemed to take forever to search the 30 gigs of music on my machine. While it is doing this the program still lets you browse and make playlists and mixes. The mixer has 3 different skins; bluesky, charcoal, and platinum. So if you like the dark look then the charcoal is for you. The other skins seem very bright and vibrant and can hurt the eyes if you are not used to having bright windows on your monitor.

Usability

The program is very easy to use and seems to do everything for you. If you want to make a mix of certain artists then all you have to do is tell it which artists you want and hit the "New Mix" button. It will either make the mix with low to high variety depending on what you have it set to in the settings options. You can also have the mix based on the artist style from ignore to strongly prefer. When viewing your music in the mixer you have the option to sort it in numerous ways. The obvious are artist and genre but the others you can sort by are bitrates, size, lyricist, and album. After you have made the mixes and gotten them perfect now all you need to do is load the mix in the mixer and press play and your default music player on your pc will pop up and start playing the exact mix you just created.

Adding It All Up

With all the power of the mixer it is lacking in some spots. You cannot add names to the files and it does not organize them on your pc. It just looks and the mixer selects from where you tell it. Other than that this mixer is a great program and is a great help in getting mixes started and knowing what music is on your pc. For the price of the mixer at $29.95 it might be a little expensive for some but the others that want to make the mixes for the late night parties it is worth it.
