I am sure the new Microsoft® IntelliMouse® Explorer is a great mouse. Unfortunately
we were sent the old version. Although we are sure it is a very good mouse, we can not
honestly report on it. Hopefully it is as good as or better than the old version. The
new version is basically the same as the one we used in the Microsoft® Wireless Optical
Desktop Elite desktop set. It's just not wireless. It too has the Tilt Wheel Technology
that has a great feel and very useful functionality. The old version is almost exactly the same.
Really it has the same buttons. The real different is the new Tilt Wheel technology and the new
version has been redesigned aesthetically. The old Explorer has a nice feel to it. It fits
nicely in the hand. Both my kids and wife used it and liked the feel. Although I haven't had the
chance to game with it, I'm sure it would be decent. There are better gaming mice available,
but if you need something decent without breaking the bank, this is a great mouse to step up into. The
new version I'm sure is just as pleasing.
Pros:
- Scroll wheel featuring the new Tilt Wheel Technology is very cool!!
Cons:
- Our only complaint is we didn't get to try the new version.
