The Microsoft® Digital Media Pro Keyboard is very similar to the
Microsoft® Wireless Optical Desktop Elite keyboard in functionality. This keyboard
came packaged without a mouse and is not wireless. Functionally, it is very similar. It also
has a large selection of buttons on the top ridge. The only real difference is on the left side.
This keyboard has a zoom slider mounted to the left that lets you quickly zoom in
or out on your currently active document. In theory this seems great. In practice I
didn't find it that useful. At some point in using this keyboard my kids had played with
the slider. When I returned to the computer, my fonts were all enlarged in my browser. I
couldn't figure out what they had done. Finally it dawned on me that they had zoomed in
with the slider. At that point it was very easy to reduce it back down. I guess if you were
working with a lot of images and were needing to zoom in and out as you did so, this feature
would be very useful to you, I on the other hand found it to be just taking up space. I do
like the look of this keyboard. It has a nice silver body with black keys. Very
stylish looking at home or in the office.
Pros:
- Very versatile keyboard with usable features.
- Nice looking keyboard.
Cons:
- Do not like the zoom slider.
