Getting Started
Believe it or not, the HP Photosmart 8450 clocked in with the fastest installation time
of all – not something you would expect from a high-end printer with all the
bells and whistles.
Appearance
You won’t believe your eyes when you pull the cover off
this sleek machine – it’s absolutely gorgeous. Every corner and angle is
shaped just right to create a lasting first impression. And the 2.5” LCD sits
proudly in the front and center. Let’s put it this way, you wouldn’t throw this
printer down next to a ratty hand-me-down monitor.
Features
- Up to 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi (HP photo paper, 1200 x 1200 dpi input)
- Up to 20 pages per minute black and color
- 4" x 6" photo printing time as fast as 27 seconds
- 2.5" color image LCD
- Direct photo printing
- Eight-ink color
- HP Image Zone software
- Panorama and video clip printing
- Ethernet networking
Pros:
- Very quick setup and install time
- Built-in 7-in-1 card reader
- Although the price seems high at $249.99, remember that you get what you pay for, and you’re
getting a ton of features here
Cons:
Adding It All Up
The HP Photosmart 8450 Printer demands attention. This is the type of machine you
can’t leave alone because of its multi-functionality. You’ll be playing with
this thing for months! The print quality could not be better. At max dpi
settings, your prints will look better than real life. Calling this a
high-end printer is an understatement.
A special thank-you to HP for providing this fine product for review on
