Cons:
The Motherboard
The GA-8ANXP-D has it all!! Functionally you couldn't ask for anything more
in a motherboard. It is eye candy in a case with a clear side panel. And
the retail package has extra goodies that make this board really stand out.
With this board you get 802.11g, 1394b, 7.1 HD audio, coax SPDIF in
and out, a decent software bundle, and dual LAN, dual BIOS, and much
more. The nice thing about these features is you can use what you want
and feel good you didn't pay an arm and a leg for what you aren't
using. However, you will find that the included features and goodies
are things you will learn to love and you won't be able figure out how
you survived without them.
This board is simple to set up, even with all the extra goodies
included. The retail pack includes all the extra cables you'll
need to use an older power supply without SATA connectors. The
included manual is more thorough with detailed description and
pictures than any other manual you will see. This helps make
set up a snap. If you aren't sure, there is plenty of documentation
to help you out.
Gigabyte also includes a plethora of Utility Management tools.
These tools make managing your system and even overclocking it easy
to do. These tools are simple to use while still offering in-depth functionality.
We also really liked the bundled 802.11g PCI card. We are a little
more comfortable with the idea of a PCI wireless NIC than integrated
wireless because the standards are still changing so quickly.
