Getting Started
I have to admit that the first time I picked up the Samsung E715 phone that I was
worried about the quality and usability. The phone was very light weight and it
had an internal antenna. My past experience with some internal antennas has been
horrible. The phone felt like a piece of plastic. These two features worried me the
most. It is also these two features that turned out to be my most favorite aspects
of this phone after using it for a week.
The E715 is a fantastic phone. The little bit of extra money you will pay are worth
every penny. The menu options and functionality were the same as other Samsung models
we have used in the past. So no surprises here. The external display has a black background.
This turned out to be our least favorite part of this phone. Though it does aid in reading the
time and date in any lighting condition, it just didn't feel pleasing to look at. The internal display
is again very well done. The large size and clear colors and text are candy for your eyes. Because the
antenna is internal, this phone folds up to be very compact. It slips nicely into a pocket or case,
or on a belt clip. The lightweight design doesn't make this phone feel like it is going to fall apart
either. It is sturdy and will take the normal use and abuse that any user puts it through.
