Call of Duty: Finest Hour (Xbox) by Activision
If military shoot-em-up console games are your style, Call of Duty: Finest Hour is the newest
must-have for your collection. Prepare to see WWII from a new perspective, and through the eyes
of a handful of refreshingly different characters, including an African-American tank TC and a
female Russian sniper.
And despite the temptation, this review will not be a comparison between the ultra popular PC
version and this newer Xbox version. As a hardcore Xbox fanboy, I’m thrilled to finally be able
to enjoy CoD in the comfort of my own living room with a comfy controller in my hands! Read on to
see why its long-awaited debut for Xbox has been well worth the wait.

Getting Started
Hop right into the action! If you’re like me, you don’t want to spend the first hour with your
new game choosing a handle, password, camouflage style, shoelace material, starched or wrinkle-free
BDU’s, etc. (you get the point) – YOU JUST WANT TO LOCK AND LOAD! Oh, and unload, of course, which
is the fun part!
Appearance
The graphics are some of the best I’ve seen in a console game – considering the environment. Sure,
they’re not as glossy and flashy as in Halo 2, but remember that you’re a down and dirty (literally)
soldier living in a world of smoke, soot, and dust. And even with a screen full of tank explosions,
grenade blasts, rifle pops, and rocket launcher fire, the action rolls right along at a quick gait. The
graphics are so smooth, and so fitting to the gameplay, that you’ll become completely immersed in each
level and “wake up” surprised to find yourself sitting in your living room after each mission!

Adding It All Up
Call of Duty: Finest Hour offers something for everyone, whether you’re a WWII buff,
a weapons connoisseur, or you just like to see things go KABOOM! So grab your copy and
prepare to be transported 60 years back in time to the Russian charge of Stalingrad,
the British PPA Commando raids in N. Africa, and the American-led tank battles in Belgium…
